"Vingoe's super-power lies in his voice, which is glorious"
The Stool Pigeon
"Folk influenced pop carved out of wooden guitars and ivory keys, swelling melodies and a healthy vocal performance. This feels solid and ephemeral at once"
The Brighton Source magazine
"Spare Buttons and Bones" is the new album from Brighton singer-songwriter Conrad Vingoe released digitally on Feb 14th 2009. The album gathers material previously released on EP's together with some unreleased tracks. The collection for the most part spans the last two years and combines Conrad's favourite recordings from this period. Recorded in the various locations of London, Denmark and Brighton, the album has a number of different musicians and producers/engineers.
Of the album Conrad says "Listening back to this collection for the first time I was surprised by how coherent it was, despite the recordings being separated by distances both geographically and in time. The songs seem to me like postcards from certain periods of my life, and I hope you will enjoy listening to them. "
