No Concert Planned.
Influenced by Brit Pop of the early 90s (The Palefountains, Blur) Dom spends part of the decade on the rock scene of Reims with the group Happy Droopy Boys (guitar, drums) and made the openings of Pulp and The Valentins at the Usine of Reims.
Once in Paris he joins a new rock band, Demian, (guitar, drums). After several concerts at the Rex, Gibus, they made the openings of Noir Désir.
D4IVE, is the outcome of his years of musical wanderings. He mixes elegantly chiselled rhythmics, a profound sound, guitars alternately folk and rough, and vaporous pads.
D4IVE is an experimental and demanding project, between the unplugged and the electronics.
Dom plays all the instruments one by one (guitar, bass, drums, clarinet, Rhodes, Moog, Glockenspiel) before mixing them in his machines.
He digests and mashes them for a sharp result, an invitation to the large spaces, those of the big American West, with a Mancunian base, a powdering of Bristolian trip-hop, the whole thing made under the Eiffel Tower.
