The SKAVESA` start their musical career in 1995 putting together a ska-core combo! It won’t be long before they start dominating the Vicenza Province thanks to their wild concerts. In 1996 their first important demo-tape is released. Finally their success stretches out further than the Vicenza province and they begin their musical variation of style breaking away from the hard-core sound. 1999: after an unexpected change of the components in the group, they release their first album (skatta) produced by kob records.  Once again the musical style changes (typically two-tone) and their success allows them to take their live concerts around the whole nation. 2002: it’s time for a second album (skavesa’ kob records): this time most of the inspiration is the Jamaican flavor (rocksteady, original). They soon start playing as the supporting group for international bands such as: the Trojans, mr. review, bad manners, skatalites. From Milan to Palermo, Italy sings and dances  at their live shows. 2005: time to refresh: Some of the members change again and new ideas start to flow.  New songs to write and sing, that’s what was needed. In June their on their way to the US to record their third album produced by vic ruggiero (the slackers) & King Django!
Now the band it's
ferrari fabrizio: vocals-guitar
mcnight michela: keys-vocals
prontera michele: bass-vocals

Skavesa’s third album was recorded, mixed and mastered at VERSION CITY STUDIO in the U.S, under the supervision of King Django who is also the producer along with Vic Ruggero, the Slacker’s singer. They both already collaborated in the production of the 2nd Lp of Mr. T-Bone.
The new album “Ten Years of Love & Hate” marks a change in comparison to the Two-Tones and rocksteady sound that caracterized the previous two works ("Skatta"1999 e "Skavesà"2002, Kob Records). The choice of composing in English and the change of the most part of the band had been very important in this sense.
“Ten Years of Love & Hate” shows to be related to the original sound of reggae and rock’n’roll where vocal melodies make a strong part which have been underlined by the arrangement of the producers.
So if you are looking for a direct album that is able to melt the 50s and 60s reggae sounds along with melodic pop than you are definitly into it.
