01-17-2008 2008 Update
Well well well...did we have a good year last year or what?
Well the end of it anyhow. Since we pulled our fingers from our rears and finished our debut album in mid August 07 things just went form good to great. First off as I mentioned we had our first full length recording. This has been a three year ordeal, getting to know each other, trying out new things. In the end the album was a collective of styles and tempos. Since the album we have had a couple of interesting reviews, which were positive i must add, however they seemed to be puzzled by the fact that anyone would want to use the full length of a compact disc and put on that disc a wide variety of music...music that you have enjoyed creating. I think we come from a different breed of muso's who just like doing what we do and hope others will like it too. This band isn't about trying to be one style or genre, it's about...and to quote our good friend Prog Paul "Good music or bad music."
From the completion of the album led to us looking for a digital download outlet and we were over the moon when we were invited to sign a digital deal with French label Believe Digital. This has yet to grow and show its true strength but as people get to know who we are the support is there for those out there to purchase our tunes.
Next on the cards was radio. We made a couple of great contacts one being Prog Paul and his Tea Lady and the Sound Scapes show. We would like to thank Paul and Lyn very much for your kind support. From there we also were introduced to the Classic Rock Society and Martin Hudson. Martin has also been very kind to us providing us with a support opportunity later this year. We would also like to thank him for providing us with the free tickets to the CRS Band of the year awards. We were nominated in the awards which again took us unawares but still we were over the moon.
As you can see things have really moved on for us and will continue that way. I think we have found some new direction which will prove to be fruitful.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled as the whole band is going away for a week writing holiday where we intend to finish some new songs, write new songs and plan our next moves...oh and recharge our batteries.
Thanks to everyone who knows us, those who have brought the album, and those of you who come to our gigs large or small.
Have a great year in 2008...we will.
